He has served as a Students' Adviser for most of his career at Ibadan and has supervised 7 doctoral theses and 19 master's projects to completion.

Young nurses and the FYNI programme

He co-authored two studies on mentoring young Nigerian nurses: a mixed-methods study of their mentorship needs (Teaching and Learning in Nursing, 2023) and a qualitative study of the FYNI virtual mentorship programme (SSM – Health Systems, in press).

He has served on the University's Student Help Centre since 2010 and the Student Leadership Development Programme since 2009, and chairs the Faculty Health Committee.
